JPV (Painters) Ltd

What We Do

Over the past 49 years, we have carried out projects for a range of industries, providing all aspects of industrial painting and coatings.

Industrial Painting

All the preparation methods used by JPV (Painters) Ltd meet approved standards, painting systems are applied in accordance with manufacturer’s guidelines.

We specialise in on-site coatings application; including railway stations, bridge structures and building exteriors, with careful attention given to quality and customer satisfaction.

Waterside Projects

We have a track record of undertaking complex painting projects in waterside locations. This can involve the use of barges for access equipment, whilst liaising with the Canal & River Trust as required.

Storage Tanks & Pipelines

This is an area of expertise that JPV (Painters) Ltd have been involved with since our inception in 1973. Solutions extend to rope access, cradle work and MEWP usage. In 2019 & 2020 we undertook the repaint of the gasholders in Campbeltown & Stornoway (Scotland).

Structural Steel Work (Intumescent & Airless Spraying)

Intumescent paint coatings, when applied as per the manufacturer’s fire rating recommendations, can provide a burning time of 30 mins to 2 hours depending on the legal requirement of the building.

Intumescent paints work in the event of a fire by expanding and producing a char that will protect the steel under high temperatures, thus enabling the fire to be brought under control, before it damages the structural integrity of the building.

High Access Work

Our working at height specialists offer a variety of high-level access techniques and solutions across the UK.

JPV (Painters) Ltd complete the required task using the safest and most effective method of access to suit the clients’ requirements and budget. Our IPAF and PASMA trained operatives aim to ensure the client’s project tasks receive the highest level of attention, maintaining a high level of safety.

Grit Blasting

Sand, shot and glass blasting are just some of the methods we employ to remove old paint and coatings, debris, oil, grime, rust and other contaminants from all types of surfaces including; steel, cast and wrought iron, concrete, timber, stone and plastic.

We find these processes can be the most effective way of de-scaling, de-burring, and cleaning both awkward interior and external surfaces.

UHP Washing

Ultra High-Pressure Water Blasting (UHP) runs up to 40,000 psi and is the most effective and environmentally friendly method of removing all old paint systems and contaminates. It uses just water with no abrasive materials or chemicals, making it safer and more cost-effective. It can be used on external or internal areas, leaving the steel surface clean and profiled ready for fresh coatings.

It is a much cleaner process than grit, sand or abrasive blasting using just freshwater and less waste for disposal, lowering the risk of contamination to the area. It is spark-free, so it is the safer option for use in highly flammable industries such as fuel tanks, oil refineries and gas storage sites. It is often the preferred choice in other industries such as Marine, Tank cleaning, Highways, Local Authorities and Heritage sites.

Electric Car Parking Bays & Thermoplastic Line Markings

We supply and install the highest quality, durable line markings including bespoke custom markings for a variety of applications including; electric car parking bays, school playground areas, car parks, safety walking routes and train station markings.
